The government has transferred GH¢6.1 million to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, popularly known as Mahama Cares , following salary deductions from President John Dramani Mahama and his political appointees. Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed the transfer in a Facebook post on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
