Bagbin: Parliament can still reconsider Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill despite passage

Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin says the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2025, popularly known as the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill, can still be revisited by the House even though it has gone through a third reading and passage. According to him, Parliament is not “functus officio” once a bill is passed, and has constitutional room to rescind its decision before sending the legislation to the President for assent.
